KINGSPORT, TN – On December 10, 2015, the Kingsport Office of Small Business Development and Entrepreneurship (KOSBE) recognized 14 winners out of 34 businesses competing during the 21st annual KOSBE Awards held at The Meadowview Marriott in Kingsport, TN. Tele-Optics was the proud 2015 recipient of the Veteran-Owned Category. “We want to thank the panel of judges and KOSBE for allowing us to compete for this award and we are honored to be this year’s award winner in the Veteran Owned category,” said Jeff Hostetler, Director of Sales and Marketing for Tele-Optics, Inc. “Being among the exceptional businesses competing in these categories was something we were excited to take part.”
Aundrea Wilcox, KOSBE Executive Director said, “Small is definitely the new big. Small businesses are the real job creators and economic developers. Technology companies, in particular, have a tremendous impact on the local economy because they often bring in new dollars from outside of the community. Tele-Optics has maintained a large presence in East TN by changing its business model to meet the demand of changing technology. Never on the bleeding edge, they strategically choose where to enter and master that niche and make it their own. Tele-Optics has an evident strong commitment to service.”
